What To Do When You Are Too OVERWHELMED To Improve Your Fitness

Have you ever been overwhelmed about starting or continuing a workout to reach your FITNESS or WEIGHT-LOSS goals? We've all heard the mantra, "No Pain, No Gain," but is the pain really worth it?
Is it worth it to not eat that pizza? Is it worth it to wake up earlier to workout?
Believe it or not, everyone feels these emotions when they decide to make an important change in their lives. It's part of the process when you try to break or create a habit.
One of the main reasons that some people succeed in going after their goals is their ability to manage those feelings and the best way to manage it, is by being prepared.
What are some things that you can do to start and keep yourself on the path to success? Here are some steps to take to make sure that happens.
1) Remember the Benefits!
We're human and because of that we don't like pain. If we're going to pay a PRICE, then the PRIZE better be worth more than what we pay, right? Well, the problem is that when the road gets tough we forget what we're working for and all we see is the PRICE that we pay.
One of the most important things you can do to stay on track is identify what is really important to you and then write it down so that you can remember it when you need to... what is the PRIZE that you will receive if you workout or say, "no," to that chocolate cake.
  • Is it looking great in a bathing suit and turning heads at the beach?
  • Is it feeling confident in a new suit at work when you do a presentation?
  • Is it having more energy to spend with your family as opposed to being in a "zombie state" when you get home from work?
  • Or is it to prevent diabetes or other diseases so you can have a better quality of life than your parents?

It's different for everyone but you'll need to identify what's important to you because you're worth it.
2) Decide!
Once you know what you want, you'll have to change your mindset. The way we think is a big reason why we got the results we have.
It's one thing for me to say that you're worth it... it's another thing for you to believe it. If you don't believe being healthy can change your life, then you won't do anything about it... and ACTION is where it's at.
You may have to forgive yourself for failing in the past. Guilt or shame have NO place in your future!
Make a commitment to yourself and decide to be a happier and healthier you! It's really that simple!
3) Make Small Changes!
Listen, you didn't get to where you are overnight, so guess what? You aren't going to fix things overnight.
The best way to get lasting results is to be consistent and build momentum. If you continue going after your goals, you'll get there.
Have PATIENCE with yourself. Start small and build up. Maybe it's taking a 10 minute walk or giving up dessert. Don't despise small beginnings. Small beginnings lead to great accomplishments!
4) Educate Yourself!
Education is empowering and inspiring. You'll need power, inspiration and support to help you along the way.
Learn what to eat and what not to eat. Learn different workouts. Learn what you're doing right... or what you could do better. Learn from others who have walked this road before you.
Remember, you don't have to stay where you are. Because of the Internet, there are so many resources available to help you make a positive change in your life. Follow the above steps and see your life change before your very eyes.
